The Taipei Post Office spans across 8,000 square meters with four stories, featuring large columns and a grand central hall near the North Gate.
The initial post office from 1892 burned down in 1913, leading to construction of the current structure in 1928, completed by architect Shunichi Kuriyama in 1930.
The building incorporates elements of traditional Taiwanese architecture with light-brown Beitou tiles and small pebbles decorating its trapezoidal structure.
This central facility manages 143 branch offices throughout Taipei City, providing postal services, banking operations, and life insurance solutions to residents.
The exterior walls display signs of age with occasional falling tiles, while the structure maintains its original wooden doors and vintage architectural features.
