The Sky Taipei, Skyscraper in Xinyi District, Taiwan
The Sky Taipei is a 280-meter-tall skyscraper in Xinyi District with 46 floors housing two luxury hotels and commercial spaces behind a glass facade. The tower connects directly to public transportation and integrates residential, hotel, and office functions within a single structure.
Construction started in 2019 on the site where the Chinatrust Financial Building stood from 1996 until demolition in 2016. This project marks the area's redevelopment as part of Taipei's urban renewal.
The tower shapes how the Xinyi district looks today and represents Taiwan's turn toward modern architecture and global design. Visitors experience this shift firsthand by seeing how the building sits alongside other contemporary structures in the area.
The tower is easy to access and navigate, with multiple entry points and direct links to public transportation throughout the district. Visitors should allow time to explore different levels, as the complex spans a large footprint.
The tower houses two separate luxury hotels, Andaz Taipei and Park Hyatt Taipei, each occupying distinct sections of the vertical space. This arrangement allows two different hotel concepts to operate side by side within the same building.
