Khrustalnyi

Located at 269 meters above sea level, Khrustalnyi extends across 153 square kilometers along the banks of the Mius River in eastern Ukraine.

Founded in 1895 as Kryndachivka, the settlement transformed into a major coal mining center during the Russian Empire's industrialization period, reaching 3,500 inhabitants by 1913.

The city maintains strong ties to its mining heritage through local museums, monuments, and annual celebrations that honor the contributions of multiple generations of miners.

The local administrative center provides essential services to residents, including healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and transportation connections to neighboring settlements.

The city changed its name from Krasnyi Luch to Khrustalnyi in 2016, reflecting broader changes in Ukrainian national identity and local governance structures.
