Zaitseve, Settlement in Bakhmut Raion, Ukraine
Zaitseve is an urban-type settlement in Bakhmut region, Ukraine. The community lies roughly 60 kilometers northeast of Donetsk and approximately 4 kilometers south of Bakhmut.
The settlement was founded in 1776 and developed from a small farming community. It grew in importance as industrial development reached eastern Ukraine.
The population distribution in 2001 showed Russian as the primary language for 93 percent of residents, with Ukrainian spoken by 6 percent of inhabitants.
