The Manor of Fyodor Tereschenko is a two-story building with ornate stonework, large windows, and a symmetrical facade in the style of the late 1800s. Decorative elements throughout the structure reflect the architectural preferences of wealthy families of that era.
The building was constructed in 1882 by architect Vladimir Nikolayev for Fyodor Tereschenko, a prominent sugar industry magnate. This residence was created during a period of economic growth in Kyiv.
The manor now serves as part of the National Art Gallery of Ukraine and hosts exhibitions showcasing local artistic traditions. Its rooms preserve the setting of a wealthy household from the late 1800s.
The manor is located on Tereshchenkivska Street and is open to visitors during regular museum hours. Check opening times before your visit, as these may vary seasonally.
In the workshops on the grounds, Fyodor Tereschenko and Volodymyr Grigoriev developed experimental aircraft in the early 1900s. These early aviation projects reveal the owner's enterprising nature beyond the sugar business.
