Museum of Partisan Glory, Underground resistance museum in Nerubaiske, Ukraine
The Museum of Partisan Glory is an exhibition within an underground limestone tunnel system with multiple levels reaching depths of 14 meters (46 feet). The rooms display military equipment, documents, and records of resistance activities from that period.
The museum was established in 1969 and honors approximately 70 resistance fighters who conducted underground operations against occupation forces during World War II. This exhibition preserves the memory of their struggle and organization during that critical period.
The museum displays objects from the resistance movement and tells the story of people who lived and fought underground here. Visitors see personal belongings, weapons, and photographs that reflect daily life during the war.
The site is located underground, so visitors should expect stairs and narrow passages when exploring the different levels. Guided tours are available in multiple languages and help explain the history and facilities more clearly.
The underground complex contains original rooms such as a kitchen, sleeping quarters, and workshops that show how the partisans lived and worked below ground. These authentic facilities offer a rare look into the everyday conditions during the resistance.
