The Tsentralnyi Bridge extends 1478 meters across the Dnieper River, connecting different sections of Dnipro with its 21-meter-wide roadway for vehicles and pedestrians.
Construction of the bridge began in 1964 during the Soviet period, and officials conducted the opening ceremony on November 5, 1966 as part of urban development.
The bridge features a bas-relief by sculptor Yuri Pavlov that commemorates the 50th anniversary of historical events from 1917 within Soviet architectural design elements.
The structure serves as the primary connection between the Central district and Nyzhnodniprovskyi district, supporting daily transportation needs for residents and businesses.
The bridge functions as both a vital transportation artery and an observation point, offering views of the Dnieper River from its elevated position.
