Tsentralny Bridge

Tsentralny Bridge is a road bridge spanning 1478 meters across the Dnieper River with a 21-meter-wide driving surface. The structure connects different districts of the city and accommodates both vehicle traffic and foot traffic.

Construction began in 1964 during the Soviet era, with the opening ceremony held on November 5, 1966. The bridge was part of the city's modernization efforts at that time.

A sculptural relief by artist Yuri Pavlov decorates the bridge, reflecting Soviet-era design principles and commemorative traditions. Passersby encounter this artistic element as part of the crossing experience, which adds a layer of meaning to everyday use.

This bridge serves as the main connection between the city's central and lower districts, handling heavy daily traffic. Pedestrians should note that walking paths are separated from vehicle lanes for safety.
