Saint-Maurice

Saint-Maurice is a small commune east of Paris that sits along the Seine, with residential neighborhoods of apartment buildings and local shops filling the streetscape. The area feels quiet and lived-in, with green spaces opening toward the nearby Bois de Vincennes parkland.

The commune originally bore the name Charenton-Saint-Maurice before being renamed in 1842. In 1929, it lost roughly half its territory when that land became part of the Bois de Vincennes park.

The municipality maintains strong connections to French governance through its participation in the Metropolitan Council and integration within the Grand Paris administrative framework.

The nearest metro station is Charenton-Écoles on Line 8, easily reachable on foot. The area is straightforward to explore on foot, with direct access to the riverbank and green spaces nearby.
