200 Vesey Street, Office skyscraper in Lower Manhattan, United States

The 51-floor glass tower at 200 Vesey Street stands 739 feet tall and features a solid pyramid roof within the Brookfield Place complex.

Construction of the building started in 1985 under architect César Pelli, leading to its completion and official opening in 1986 as Three World Financial Center.

The structure contains the Eleven Tears Memorial, which honors the American Express employees who perished during the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The building connects to multiple subway lines through the Fulton Center Transit hub and contains 2.1 million square feet of office space for commercial tenants.

The structure maintained stability during September 11, 2001, despite roof damage, allowing Merrill Lynch executives to return within weeks of the events.
