During the Revolutionary War in 1775, the Dillaway-Thomas House served as military headquarters for Brigadier General John Thomas to monitor troop movements.
The park exhibits detail the evolution of Roxbury from an independent town to its incorporation into Boston in 1868, through archaeological findings and artifacts.
Visitors can access the park daily from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with convenient public transportation options including buses 14 and 41 stopping directly in front.
Fort Ticonderoga cannons passed through this location in 1776, leading to British forces evacuating Boston, commemorated by a marker installed in 2009.
