One City Center

One City Center is a 25-story high-rise building in St. Louis that rises 375 feet (114 meters) into the downtown skyline. Today it houses office spaces and retail shops, serving as part of the city's commercial district.

The complex opened in 1985 as part of a major development project that transformed St. Louis downtown. This construction period marked an important chapter in reshaping the city's commercial center.

The building represents the commercial development era of the 1980s when cities invested in large-scale office and retail complexes to revitalize downtown areas.

The building is accessible from street level, and a parking garage with approximately 750 spaces is located within the structure. The surrounding streets, particularly Washington and Locust, offer easy pedestrian access to the area.

During renovation efforts, the original pedestrian skybridges that connected to nearby buildings were removed to restore street-level movement. This change improved walkability and reconnected the area with surrounding downtown neighborhoods.
