Citygarden

Citygarden is a sculpture park in downtown St. Louis that combines contemporary artworks, water features, and garden spaces on an open urban site. The space connects multiple art installations with seating areas and planted zones across its grounds.

The park was founded in 2009 by the Gateway Foundation as part of downtown revitalization efforts. The site transformed an abandoned plot into a public art space.

The park displays works by international artists positioned throughout the space, creating an outdoor art gallery in the city center. Visitors encounter contemporary pieces integrated with water features and plantings as they walk through.

The park is located between 8th and 10th Streets and offers free entry. Parking is available nearby with metered spots on surrounding streets for visitor convenience.

In summer months, visitors particularly children can play in dedicated water zones such as the Spray Plaza while surrounded by contemporary art installations. These areas offer a rare blend of art engagement and interactive water play in an urban setting.
