250 Douglas Place

250 Douglas Place is a 26-story residential tower located in downtown Wichita. The structure features a spacious central core that runs vertically through the building and brings natural light into the interior spaces.

The building originally opened in 1970 as a Holiday Inn Plaza hotel. It later underwent a major conversion into residential apartments that was completed in 2015.

The building features a 24th-floor lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows that provides the highest residential viewpoint in Kansas.

The building offers residents covered parking, a swimming pool, and a fitness center. The recreation deck features three outdoor kitchen pavilions that provide communal spaces for various activities.

The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2021, recognizing its architectural importance in the region. Despite its contemporary role as a residential property, it is now protected and acknowledged as a site of historical value.
