36 East 72nd Street, Residential cooperative building in Upper East Side, Manhattan, United States

36 East 72nd Street is a fifteen-story residential cooperative in the Upper East Side with seventeen apartments featuring generous floor plans. The building sits in a neighborhood rich with cultural institutions and recreational spaces nearby.

This structure was designed and built in 1927 by architects Pleasants Pennington and Albert W. Lewis. It emerged during an era of significant residential construction for affluent New Yorkers on the Upper East Side.

The New Yorker magazine recognized this residential property among Manhattan's top ten cooperative buildings in their 1995 publication.

The location has excellent public transportation connections with nearby subway stations and bus lines serving the area. Visitors will find shopping, dining, and cultural institutions easily accessible on foot throughout the neighborhood.

Financial executive Robert Agostinelli and architect Carlos Brillembourg selected this address as their residence, contributing to its exclusive status.
