American Clock & Watch Museum, Horology museum in Bristol, Connecticut, United States
The American Clock & Watch Museum contains eight galleries displaying thousands of timepieces, from sundials to modern chronometers, in a historic building complex.
Founded in 1952, the museum occupies the Miles Lewis residence and relocated 1728 Barnes homestead, representing the center of American clock manufacturing heritage.
The collection demonstrates how Connecticut's clockmaking industry contributed to the Industrial Revolution through mass manufacturing techniques developed by Eli Terry.
Located 30 minutes from Hartford, the museum welcomes visitors Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM with admission rates of $12 for adults.
The museum maintains a specialized horological research library containing historical catalogs from American clock manufacturers, available for researchers upon request.
