Angela Park, Amusement park in Drums, Pennsylvania, US
Angela Park was an amusement park featuring multiple rides and attractions for families. The site included a roller coaster, carousel, miniature train, boat rides, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, miniature golf, and batting cages spread across the grounds.
The park opened in 1957 under the ownership of the Barletta Family and operated for three decades. Ownership changed to Mirth Master Corporation in 1985 before the park permanently closed in 1988.
During the 1960s, the park hosted performances by regional entertainers Sally Starr and Chief Halftown on its dedicated stage area.
The park was located on Route 309 north of Hazleton and offered various activities in one location. Visitors could enjoy rides, swimming, and recreational games without leaving the grounds.
After closure, the park's former parking area was repurposed by Lackawanna College as a training ground for its police driving program. This second life gave the abandoned site a practical function once again.
