Hickory Run State Park, State park in White Haven, Pennsylvania
The 15,990-acre Hickory Run State Park contains 40 miles of trails, numerous waterfalls, and two lakes within the Pocono Mountains terrain.
The park, established in 1945, preserves a significant geological formation from the last ice age that occurred approximately 20,000 years ago.
Environmental education specialists conduct year-round programs about local flora, fauna, and geological features for school groups and public visitors.
Visitors can access camping facilities from April to October, with options ranging from tent sites to RV hookups and cottages for extended stays.
Boulder Field spans 400 by 1,800 feet and contains stones measuring up to 26 feet long, forming one of the largest glacial fields in eastern United States.
