Bennett's Pond State Park

Bennett's Pond State Park extends across 460 acres of woodland terrain, featuring a 56-acre pond and multiple hiking trails through forest landscapes.

The land belonged to industrialist Louis D. Conley until 1930, who developed one of the largest nurseries on the East Coast at his 1500-acre Outpost Farm.

The park serves as an educational center where visitors learn about Connecticut's natural environment through interpretive programs and guided nature walks.

The park maintains multiple marked trails, provides designated parking areas, and permits seasonal activities including fishing, hiking, and bow hunting.

Many tree specimens from the original Conley nursery operation continue to grow within the park boundaries, creating a living connection to the past.
