The Burtner House features 20 double-hung windows, four single-hung windows, two stone chimneys, and eight large rooms across three stories.

Built between 1818 and 1821 by Phillip Burtner, this residence served as a meeting place, voting station, and tax office for Old Deer Township and Allegheny County.

The Burtner House Association maintains a collection of family artifacts, including furniture, cookware, clothing, spinning wheels, and historic wedding dresses.

The property coordinates are 40°37′52.93″N latitude and 79°43′50.95″W longitude, located near Pennsylvania Route 28 on Burtner Road in Harrison Township.

Local residents successfully prevented the demolition of this historical structure in 1972 when highway expansion plans threatened its existence.
