Chase Promenade, Tree-lined walkway in Millennium Park, Chicago, United States
Chase Promenade is a tree-lined walkway running through Millennium Park with three distinct sections for walking and exploring. The path is bordered by nearly 200 trees and features permanent tent anchors positioned at intervals along its length.
The walkway opened in 2004 under the name Bank One Promenade and later received its current name following exhibitions in the park. It was designed from the start as a flexible venue to support various artistic and cultural events throughout the year.
The promenade functions as an outdoor exhibition space, presenting various art installations, sculptures, and seasonal displays throughout three distinct walking sections.
Access to the promenade is open daily and offers good connections to public transportation and nearby attractions. The walkway is centrally located compared to other park areas and easy to reach on foot.
The structure of the walkway enables year-round events because specialized anchors are permanently embedded in the ground. This design allows organizers to quickly set up temporary tents and structures for different activities.
