Crystal Grottoes is a show cave in Boonsboro featuring horizontal passages lined with white and buff-colored speleothem formations. Stalactites, flowstone, and columns decorate the corridors throughout the underground system.
The cave was discovered in 1920 when a road construction worker's drill bit fell into an opening beneath the surface. This accidental find led to its opening for public visits in 1922.

Visitors can explore the cave daily with guided tours offered regularly through the underground passages. Comfortable footwear is recommended since the paths through the cave can be uneven.
