Edward E. Willey Bridge, Road bridge in Richmond, United States.

The Edward E. Willey Bridge crosses the James River with two lanes in each direction and features a curved design that adapts to the surrounding terrain. The structure connects Parham Road in Henrico County with Chippenham Parkway while navigating the river's natural valley.

Construction began in the 1980s and was completed in 1989, with funding drawn from toll revenues of the Richmond-Petersburg Turnpike section of I-95. The project represented a major infrastructure investment to improve traffic circulation in the Richmond area.

The bridge carries the name of Edward E. Willey, a pharmacist and Virginia state senator who served in the General Assembly from 1952 to 1983.

Drivers should observe the 45 mile per hour speed limit that is maintained across the entire bridge span. The structure provides separate directional traffic with median barriers to ensure safety for all users.

The structure follows a distinctive S-shaped path, shifting direction three times to fit the geography of the James River Valley. This winding route is immediately noticeable to drivers and shapes the driving experience considerably.
