Masjid Namirah, Religious mosque in Arafat, Saudi Arabia
Namirah Mosque extends 340 meters from east to west and 240 meters from north to south, with six minarets reaching 60 meters in height.
The mosque marks the location where Prophet Muhammad delivered his farewell sermon during his last pilgrimage in the eighth century CE.
Muslim pilgrims gather at Namirah Mosque during Hajj to perform combined noon and afternoon prayers, following the tradition of Prophet Muhammad.
The mosque accommodates 400,000 worshippers and features ten main entrances with 64 doors, three domes, and an 8,000-square-meter shaded courtyard.
A broadcasting room equipped with satellite technology transmits the sermon and prayers directly from the mosque during the Day of Arafah.
