Established in 2019 as part of Saudi Vision 2030, the museum emerged from collaboration between the Diriyah Gate Development Authority and Ministry of Culture.

The museum organizes three temporary exhibitions annually, accompanied by cultural events, and offers free admission to all visitors through online registration.
