Härjedalen Municipality

Härjedalen Municipality extends across 11,934 square kilometers of northern Sweden, containing forests, mountains, and eight urban settlements including the administrative center of Sveg.

The municipality formed on January 1, 1974, during Sweden's municipal reform, incorporating nine separate local government entities into a single administrative unit.
