Kačací štít, Mountain summit in High Tatras, Slovakia

Kačací štít rises as part of the High Tatras mountain range, reaching significant heights with its steep slopes and marked hiking trails.

The first documented climb of this peak occurred in 1843, when John Ball, Wilhelm Richter, and Carl Ritter reached its summit.

The mountain name appears in Slovak literature and mountaineering records since 1717, when it was first mentioned in Buchholz's Tatra panorama.

The ascent requires careful preparation and proper equipment, as weather conditions can shift rapidly at higher elevations throughout the year.

The route includes a challenging 22-meter section called Kőparipa, which mountaineers typically traverse while maintaining a seated position.
