Otkhta Eklesia, Medieval monastery ruins in Artvin Province, Turkey.

The Otkhta Eklesia monastery consists of a central basilica with three naves, surrounded by auxiliary structures including a seminary and refectory.

King David Kurapalat established the monastery between 961 and 965, with subsequent renovations taking place from 978 to 1001.

The monastery walls contain remnants of faded murals that demonstrate the artistic practices of medieval Georgian religious architecture.

The site lies 13 kilometers from Yusufeli, accessible by taking the İspir road north at Tekkale village through a partially unsurfaced route.

The monastery complex features a two-level burial chapel in the southeast section, distinguishing it from other religious structures in the region.
