Ballıkayalar Nature Park

Ballıkayalar Nature Park is a protected canyon area in Kocaeli Province with forest-covered slopes, towering rock walls, and established hiking routes. The landscape features mixed woodland with oak, hornbeam, chestnut, maple, ash, and linden trees, along with designated picnic zones within the canyon setting.

The area received official protected status in 1995 as a nature park to conserve its geological features and local wildlife. This designation marked a commitment to safeguarding the canyon's natural characteristics and ecological value.

This place serves as a gathering point where visitors hike, climb rocks, and observe wildlife across different seasons. Local families and nature enthusiasts use the trails to spend time outdoors and connect with the natural landscape.
