Zhaori Hot Spring

Zhaori Hot Spring is a natural thermal source on Green Island with multiple circular outdoor pools filled with mineral-rich water overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Temperatures range from 53 to 90 degrees Celsius (127 to 194 degrees Fahrenheit), offering different sections for soaking.

The site was named Asahi Onsen during Japanese colonial rule, reflecting recognition of its geological importance as a rare type of marine hot spring. This naming choice showed how outside powers identified the location's natural value.

Locals and visitors come here to soak and spend time together, making it a social gathering place where people enjoy the waters in a relaxed way.

Bring a swimsuit and bathing cap, as both are required and the facility has indoor and outdoor areas to choose from. The site can hold about 400 visitors, so arriving at quieter times helps you enjoy the pools more easily.

The water here comes from a blend of seawater and underground water sources, creating a rare saline sulfate-chloride mix found in few places. This chemical composition gives the springs distinctive properties that set them apart from other thermal sites.
