Bear Rehabilitation Center in Synevyr National Nature Park, спеціалізований центр реабілітації особин бурого ведмедя, які зазнали жорстокого поводження або постраждали внаслідок стихійного лиха

The Bear Rehabilitation Center in Synevyr National Nature Park is a wildlife facility spanning 12 hectares that houses bears unable to survive in the wild. The grounds include six cages, two enclosure sections for bears of varying ages and health, swimming ponds, small caves, and open areas with natural berry plants.

The center opened in April 2011 and became the largest bear rehabilitation facility in Ukraine. It was established to address the widespread problems of bears being rescued from circuses, illegal captivity, and animal trafficking.

The center is named after the nearby Lake Synevyr and reflects local efforts to care for bears that suffered from human exploitation. Visitors experience how wildlife protection has become part of the regional identity and environmental responsibility.

The center operates from 9 in the morning until 6 in the evening and offers guided tours sharing each bear's rescue story. Visitors walk along marked forest paths to observe the bears, so comfortable hiking shoes and patience for slow-paced viewing are helpful.

Despite being known as predators, the bears at the center eat mostly apples, carrots, and fish rather than meat. This surprising diet reflects how adaptable bears are and how the specialized care here prepares them for life in the wild.
