Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park

The Highland Boundary Fault running through the park creates a natural division that separated Highland from Lowland Scotland for many centuries.

The names of locations within the park reflect the strong influence of Scottish Gaelic language, particularly in areas north of the Highland Boundary Fault.

Multiple entry points connect to marked trails throughout the park, with information centers at Balloch, Aberfoyle, and Callander providing maps and guidance.

The park contains Inchmurrin, the largest freshwater island in the British Isles, located within Loch Lomond's waters.
