11 Times Square, Office tower in Times Square Manhattan, United States.
11 Times Square is a glass-clad office tower on Eighth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, rising forty floors above street level. The building contains office and retail spaces, with floor-to-ceiling windows covering all sides of the structure.
The tower was built starting in 2006 without any tenants signed in advance, which was unusual for a project of its scale. When the law firm Proskauer Rose moved in during 2010, it became the anchor tenant that gave the building its footing.
The lobby features a moving art installation by Tim Prentice that catches visitors' attention as they enter. Large windows throughout the building frame views of the surrounding energy and activity.
The building sits right next to the Port Authority subway entrance, making it easy to reach from many parts of the city. If you are exploring the area on foot, the entrance on Eighth Avenue is straightforward to find.
The building has a rainwater collection system that feeds directly into its cooling towers, cutting down on overall water use. Fixed sunshades on the outside of the facade also reduce heat inside without blocking the view from the offices.
