Reynolda House Museum of American Art

The Reynolda House spans 34,000 square feet and contains 64 rooms, displaying American paintings from the colonial period to the present day.

The estate, constructed between 1912 and 1917, served as the residence of R.J. Reynolds, founder of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, and his wife Katharine Smith.

The museum maintains a collection of 6,000 historical objects and features works by prominent American artists including Mary Cassatt and Georgia O'Keeffe.

Visitors can access the museum Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Sundays from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM with admission tickets.

The property includes a 134-acre garden with walking trails, a waterfall, and one of the few remaining early 20th-century Lord & Burnham greenhouses.
