Yurubí National Park, National park in Yaracuy, Venezuela

The protected area covers 23,670 hectares of cloud forests and mountain ranges in the Sierra de Aroa, with elevations reaching 1,850 meters.

The government established Yurubí National Park on March 18, 1960, to safeguard the water basin that supplies fresh water to San Felipe city.

Five municipalities of Yaracuy share the territory of the national park: Cocorote, Independencia, San Felipe, Manuel Monge, and Bolivar.

The temperature ranges between 12 and 26 degrees Celsius throughout the park, with variations depending on altitude and time of day.

The park contains 68 bird species, 64 bat species, 13 carnivores, 9 rodents, 5 marsupials, and 2 primate species in its diverse ecosystem.
