The complex opened in 2015 following seven years of construction as accommodation for the European Games in Baku. It was later adapted to host participants during the Islamic Solidarity Games.
The complex incorporates two large restaurants serving both Azerbaijani and European cuisine with a capacity to feed 3,000 people simultaneously.
The site sits near the Olympic Stadium and is accessible by public transport. Daily facilities include restaurants, shops, and recreation areas open to visitors throughout the day.
The site has the capacity to house more than 7,500 people at once, making it one of the largest such residential compounds in the region. It served both the European Games and later the Islamic Solidarity Games without major renovations between the two events.
