Santa Coloma de Gramenet

Santa Coloma de Gramenet is a municipality in the Barcelonès district of Catalonia. It sits on the southeastern slopes of the coastal range and spreads across both banks of the Besòs river.

Archaeological finds near Puig Castellar show settlement from 3500 BC, including traces of the Layetanos people from the 6th century BC. The area developed around rural estates during the medieval period and remained largely agricultural until the 20th century.
