Archaeological Museum of Palencia

The Archaeological Museum of Palencia contains collections representing regional evolution from Paleolithic times through the Modern Age in a Renaissance building.

The museum emerged from two archaeological collections assembled during the second half of the nineteenth century, leading to the first institutional museum in Palencia.

The permanent exhibition includes Roman artifacts, Medieval pieces, and religious art that illustrates the development of different civilizations in the region.

Located at Plaza del Cordón 1, the museum charges 1 euro for entry, with free admission on weekends and International Museum Day.

The Roman Treasure of Valsadornín forms part of the permanent collection, presenting valuable artifacts from ancient settlements in the province.
