Archaeological Museum of Palencia

The Archaeological Museum of Palencia occupies a Renaissance building and displays collections that trace regional development from Paleolithic times through the Modern Age. The exhibits progress through successive periods, showing how different cultures shaped this area.

The museum grew from two archaeological collections gathered during the second half of the 1800s in the region. These holdings established the foundation for Palencia's first institutional museum of this kind.
