Colegio de Villandrando, Protected monument in Palencia, Spain
The Colegio de Villandrando features three levels with a portico base, ornate balconies, and paired windows adorned with helical pilasters.
Built between 1910 and 1911 under Eduvigis Sanz de Sedano's patronage, this building served as a shelter and training institute for orphaned girls.
The ceramic frieze by Daniel Zuloaga on the cornice depicts the founder's donation scene with angels carrying Gothic inscriptions.
Located at 36 Mayor Street, the building received extensive restoration work in 2007 to preserve its original architectural elements.
The facade combines Venetian Gothic and Catalan Modernist styles, reflecting architect Jerónimo Arroyo's education at the Barcelona School.
