Church of San Miguel, Catholic church near Carrión river in Palencia, Spain.
The church features a prominent 70-meter openwork tower with six archivolts adorning the main entrance and three naves covered by cross vaults.
Built in the 11th century and reconstructed in the 13th century, the church combines Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance architectural elements throughout its structure.
The church holds the Christening of the Child festival each January 1st, a tradition that received recognition as a Festival of National Tourist Interest.
Located at Plaza San Miguel 2-4, the church opens daily from 9:30 to 13:30 and 18:00 to 20:00, offering free entry to all visitors.
The tower underwent restoration to remove reinforcements that were added after damage from the 1755 Lisbon earthquake affected its structure.
