Church of San Miguel

San Miguel is a Catholic church in Palencia featuring a distinctive 70 meter openwork tower and an entrance framed by six ornamental arches. Inside, the space is divided into three aisles covered by cross vaults that create the building's interior structure.

The church was built in the 11th century and underwent major reconstruction in the 13th century, blending Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance features throughout its design. Later earthquakes left their mark, prompting structural reinforcements that were eventually removed during recent restoration work.
