Puente de los Remedios, Road bridge in Seville, Spain.
The Puente de los Remedios is a road bridge that crosses the Canal de Alfonso XIII and connects the Paseo de las Delicias with the Los Remedios district. The concrete structure features six traffic lanes, two pedestrian walkways, and a central median housing utility lines.
Construction began in 1956 and finished in 1968 to support urban expansion in the area. Engineer Carlos Fernández Casado designed the project to improve connections between the growing districts.
The bridge takes its name from a religious sanctuary that once stood nearby and shaped the character of the surrounding area. Today the name reflects the historical identity of the Los Remedios district.
The bridge is easy to reach on foot and offers safe crossings for pedestrians with dedicated walkways on both sides. It is best to use caution during rush hours as this is an actively used traffic route.
The bridge is supported by multiple rows of concrete pillars that form a stable foundation. This structural design allows the canal below to remain unobstructed while efficiently handling traffic flow.
