Benalmádena Stupa, Buddhist temple in Benalmádena, Spain.
The Buddhist Enlightenment Stupa stands 33 meters tall on the hillside of Sierra de Mijas, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and Costa del Sol.
Inaugurated in October 2003, this temple represents the final project of Buddhist master Lopon Tsechu Rinpoche, who constructed 16 stupas across Europe.
The meditation hall walls display illustrations of Buddha Sakyamuni's life, while the underground area houses exhibitions about Tibetan Buddhism and Himalayan culture.
The temple opens Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00 and 15:30 to 18:30, offering meditation sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays at 18:00.
The structure contains a 100-square-meter meditation hall, making it different from traditional sealed stupas found in other locations.
