Playa Malibu Palace is a sandy beach on the coast of Benalmádena, in the province of Málaga, Andalusia, about 400 km south of Madrid. The shoreline is light sand with a gentle slope into the Mediterranean, and the beach sits in a region with mild winters and warm summers, with July averages around 30 °C.

Benalmádena evolved from a small fishing village into a Costa del Sol destination during the 1960s, when investors constructed hotels and recreational facilities along the coastline. This transformation followed the nationwide tourism initiative under Franco designed to attract foreign visitors to Spain. Within two decades, new infrastructure and apartment complexes reshaped the entire waterfront area.

The name "Malibu Palace" comes from the beach's association with the nearby Hotel Malibu Palace, a landmark of Benalmádena's 1960s tourism boom. The beach sits in the Torremolinos-Benalmádena coastal strip, where chiringuitos serve espetos de sardinas, sardines grilled on skewers over open fires, a local tradition along this shore.

The beach opens daily from morning until midnight, with sunbed and umbrella rentals available on site. Several bus routes stop within walking distance, and public parking is located along the main road. Showers, restrooms and beach bars are spaced at regular intervals throughout the area. Peak season runs from June through September, with July and August being the busiest months.

The beach sits about 400 km south of Madrid in the province of Málaga, Andalusia, on the Mediterranean shore. Average temperatures run around 20 °C, reaching about 30 °C in July and dropping to roughly 12 °C in January. Annual rainfall averages about 566 mm, with the wettest month being November at around 126 mm.
