Magnus Colossus

Magnus Colossus is a wooden roller coaster at Terra Mítica theme park in Benidorm, winding through the landscape with multiple peaks and descents. The track features sharp turns and fast-paced sections that alternate between climbs and sudden drops.

The ride opened in 2000 and represented a milestone in wooden coaster engineering. The project introduced new technical solutions for braking and structural stability.

The design represents an aerial Roman road, incorporating elements from ancient Roman military fortifications of the first and second centuries.

The ride is accessible to visitors meeting a height requirement and operates with two trains that load at stations throughout the day. Walking access is straightforward, and the best conditions for riding occur when the weather is clear and dry.

Built on 21,000 square meters of space, the structure uses 1,200 cubic meters of Oregon wood supported by 1,400 deep foundation pillars.
