Barranco de Enmedio

Barranco de Enmedio is a beach nestled between mountains along the Costa Tropical, stretching for about 190 meters with a mix of dark sand, rocks, and gravel. The water is clear and sheltered by surrounding rocky formations that protect it from strong currents.

This beach has remained undeveloped through the centuries, keeping its natural state as part of Granada province's traditional coastal landscape. The lack of construction has made it a rare example of the original character that once defined the Costa Tropical.

You reach it by taking the N-340 road exit at Urbanización Alfamar and following a dirt track to a small parking area near the shore. The beach itself is easy to access on foot, though facilities are minimal, so bring what you need for the day.

The shell-shaped curve of the beach, combined with surrounding mountains, creates natural barriers that keep the water at a comfortable temperature. This protected setting also means the shore experiences gentle waves most of the time.
