Palace of la Espriella en Villahormes

The Palace of la Espriella features a rectangular layout with a central courtyard, constructed from limestone with lime highlights and two distinct floors.

Built in 1616 for the noble Espriella family while residing in Palermo, the palace underwent major renovations during the 18th and 19th centuries.

The palace displays a noble shield at its main entrance and represents the architectural evolution of Spanish rural nobility residences through centuries.

The ground floor contains stables, cellars, and a traditional cider press, while the upper level houses bedrooms, offices, and servant quarters.

Federico Bernaldo de Quirós y Mier, who later became Marquis consort of Argüelles through marriage, was born within these palace walls.
