Playas de Sovalle, Valle y Niembro

The three connected beaches of Sovalle, Valle, and Niembro form a coastal stretch featuring white sand and rocky outcrops along the Cantabrian Sea.

The Niembro section of this beach system received the Blue Flag certification in 1997, marking a significant advancement in coastal quality recognition.

Local fishing traditions remain active in these waters, with numerous rock formations providing excellent conditions for underwater fishing activities.

Accessing Sovalle requires walking, as no direct road leads to the beach, and visitors should note the strong waves that characterize these waters.

During low tide, all three beaches merge into a single shoreline, creating a temporary 160-meter-long coastal formation with distinctive shell-like shapes.
