Playa de Borizu

Playa de Borizu is a sandy beach along the Asturian coast stretching about 400 meters, bordered by protective cliffs and clear waters. The beach provides parking, shower facilities, waste bins, and a rescue team service during the swimming season from June to September.

The area has a long maritime past closely tied to the development of Llanes as a coastal town. This connection to the sea has shaped local history over time.

The beach forms part of Llanes' maritime identity, where visitors can sense the strong bond between the local community and the sea. Fishing traditions remain visible today and shape daily life in this coastal area.

The beach is easily accessible with plenty of parking nearby and good basic facilities for visitors. The best time for swimming is from June to September, when a rescue service is on duty.

At low tide, a natural sand bridge forms that allows visitors to walk to a small island also known locally as Arnielles. This phenomenon occurs regularly and is easily accessible on foot when the tide is out.
