Collegiate church of San Luis, Villagarcía de Campos, Renaissance collegiate church in Villagarcía de Campos, Spain.

The Collegiate Church of San Luis stands in Villagarcía de Campos with a Latin cross layout, three naves divided by columns, and multiple side chapels. The building contains artistic works throughout its interior spaces, each chapel serving as a distinct area within the larger structure.

Doña Magdalena de Ulloa and Don Luis de Quijada commissioned this building in the 16th century to serve as their family burial place during the Counter Reformation period. The construction reflects the religious renewal movement of that era and the importance such family projects held in Spanish history.

The Reliquary Chapel displays more than 50 sculptures by Tomas de Sierra, each created to house sacred remains within ornate designs. Walking through this space, visitors encounter the skilled craftsmanship and religious art that was central to worship practices of that era.

Access to the building is provided through guided tours offered at different times of year, with visiting hours varying by season. Prospective visitors should check in advance when tours are available to plan a visit that suits their schedule.

The tombs of the founders rest in a crypt beneath the High Altar, hidden from view in the underground chamber below. The sacristy displays vestments worn by priests from the 16th century, offering insight into the religious practices and everyday rituals of that period.
