Meloneras

A 500-meter golden sand beach stretches along the southern coast of Gran Canaria, bordered by a winding promenade with restaurants and hotels.

The Meloneras area transformed from a coastal settlement into a modern beach destination following the construction of the Maspalomas lighthouse in the 1890s.

Local restaurants along the promenade serve traditional Canarian dishes, including fresh seafood paella and papas arrugadas with mojo sauce.

The beach provides amenities including sun loungers, lifeguard services, showers, and direct access to numerous shopping centers and golf courses.

During low tide, visitors can walk between Meloneras and Maspalomas beaches, passing by the lighthouse that marks the border between these coastal areas.
