Arc 1950, Alpine ski resort in Bourg Saint Maurice, France
Arc 1950 is a ski resort set at 1,950 meters elevation with direct access to 425 kilometers of slopes within the Paradiski area of the French Alps. Accommodations range from hotels to self-catering apartments scattered across the valley.
The resort was built in the 1970s as part of the Les Arcs development and designed from the start so all accommodations have direct access to the slopes. This ski-in-ski-out approach shaped the entire structure of the village.
Weekly Arc en Scene shows happen every Thursday, offering visitors a glimpse into French mountain culture and local traditions. These performances are woven into the resort's rhythm and connect people to regional entertainment practices.
The resort operates from December through April and has ski schools and rental shops spread throughout the area. Most needs can be handled on foot since it is a car-free village.
The village is car-free and follows modern architecture that fits the natural mountain contours. All buildings are positioned to have an unobstructed view of Mont Blanc.
